Bob Kolb

Personal Information

Bob attended Duke University, the University of Georgia, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a Ph.D. in philosophy in 1974 and a Ph.D. in finance in 1978 from the University of North Carolina. Over 17 years, Bob was a professor of finance at the University of Florida, Emory University, the University of Miami, and the University of Colorado. During this time, he published more than 50 academic research articles and more than 20 books.

While a finance professor, Bob pursued his interest in photography as a busy schedule of teaching, research, writing, and consulting would allow. In 1995, Bob left academics and devoted a considerable portion of his time and energies to fine art photography. Now, while continuing to explore photography, Bob has undertaken a new initiative.

Bob has joined the faculty of Loyola University Chicago, where he serves as Professor of Finance and holds the Considine Chair in Applied Ethics.
